Visitor Centre Carnivore Bardu (EN)
Our visitor centre is the northernmost centre in Norway. We are located together with Polar Park which is the world’s northernmost animal park. This provides us with a fantastic opportunity to educate the public about carnivores.
Who we are
We are a center for anyone who wants to learn more about and be inspired by predators in Norwegian nature. The center is a government-authorized “visitor center” operated by the independent foundation “Rovdyrsenter Bardu”.
One of our main objectives is to offer a nonbiased look at the biology, ecology, and the conflict around the four largest carnivores: brown bear, wolf, lynx and wolverine. Three of these four are found in Bardu municipal.
Exhibition & Activity park
In the main building of the Polar Park you will find our exhibition. Here you get an exciting insight into the mysterious world of predators. The exhibition can be visited on your own and is free.
Note that the exhibition will be updated and continually renewed in the coming years.
Outside of the centre we have a large area filled with different obstacles that show how the four largest carnivores differ in speed, agility, and movement.
