The golden eagle’s life is not entirely unlike that of the wolf. That is because, like wolves, golden eagles lives in pairs that lasts their whole lives.

WHERE DOES THE EAGLE PAIR LIVE?

The eagle pair will nest every year, and have young – provided there is enough food to be found. Their nest is built on rocky ledges or in sturdy spruce trees. Golden eagle nests can be enormous and weigh several hundred kilograms. The eagles generally have several nests and alternate between them from year to year.

The female will lay two eggs in the nest, but generally only one of the chicks will grow to adulthood. The younger chick is usually outcompeted by its older sibling.
